• Pilates has introduced me to the concept of core strengh. It improved the alignment of my spinal column, which in turn relieved or eliminated alot of my neck, shoulder and lower back discomfort. As you attempt each exercise you can feel your body as it becomes aware and attempts to adjust to each move.

  • The Wunda Chair, underrated and often over-looked in the Pilates world is quite challenging. The Wunda Chair was invented as a result of Joseph Pilates’ observation of Chinese acrobatic maneuvers on a "box"; when turned over it doubles as an actual chair.

    Pilates enthusiasts are drawn to the Chair because of its versatility and challenge. In a one hour Chair class, you will get the opportunity to test one's individual strength. In addition, you will have the chance to experience the Pilates concepts on a piece of equipment that focuses on the lower unit of the body as well as stability of the whole body.

    Establishing proper foot placement and position on your Wunda chair. Position springs according to physical strength and each exercise. Warm up exercises- footwork series.

    For those who are new to this piece of equipment, it is easy to become acclimated with it. It looks just like a chair. There are adjustable springs that will move according the resistance that is desired. The great part is that everyone can perform the same exercise in a class. It’s simply a matter of adjusting the spring tension.

  • This one hour class will give the Pilates enthusiast, an overview of the functions of the chair and the opportunity to test one's individual strength. In addition, you will have the chance to experience the Pilates concepts on a piece of equipment (the chair) that focuses on the stability of the whole body.


    *Classes are 1 hour long. Enrollment begins as soon as 3 participants have registered for class.


    Spaces are limited to 4 participants per class. Each participant will work on their own combo chair. A 24 HOUR CANCELLATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CLASSES. OTHERWISE, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR MISSED CLASS.
